Mastic Scum - Mind

MASTIC SCUM release their third full-length album. Do you have to say much more about that? Traditionally, the new longplayer also hears a four-letter title. After all, never was a MASTIC SCUM title more than a letter longer. Musically, it continues where they left off with Scars. Thicker, but rarely uncompromisingly faster Death / Grindcore with a high groove factor. In fact, the groove level on Mind has been raised quite a bit. Many of the songs are even pretty catchy or take place at a high mid-tempo. This is the weak point of such a concept and it is also the weak point with which the mind struggles. In the last third of the band it's just hard to score with the songs and you get the feeling that the guys are repeating themselves. At NAPALM DEATH, I would call it the Inside the Torn Apart syndrome. The crisp songs are top-produced, rarely longer than they should be and invite you to moshing without losing sight of the fun. Great thing! The LP now comes on 180 gram black vinyl and is packed in a thick noble gatefold cover.
