Total Empty - Planktoon

TOTAL EMPTY is a band that does not like precise genre definitions. Formed in 2009 with the aim to create effective and compelling pieces, Fabrizio (guitars), Francesco (drums) Ludovico (voice) and Saverio (bass) offer songs that do no only consist of the typical metal ingridiences but also elements that make the music roll and groove. "Planktoon" draws its inspiration from many different styles of music, and that adds to its addictiveness. Granitic riffs, melodic deadlifts, irony and anger are the ingredients of this debut album recorded at the prestigious Nadir Music Studios (Italy) under the wise supervision of metal guru Tommy Talamanca (SADIST). The nine tracks were composed over a time span of four years between times of excessive touring. They deal with pessimistic and sometimes ironic social issues. The title and the artwork of the album is a sarcastic pun on the vision that Total Empty have enough of today's society, ready to engulf every commercial product promoted by the media - just like a goldfish in a bowl.
