Ash Borer - The Irrepassable Gate

West Coast U.S. black metal band ASH BORER, over the last several years, have been recognized as one of the more prominent and active bands in the U.S. black metal scene today. With their third full-length album “The Irrepassable Gate”, which follows 2012’s “Cold Of Ages” and was produced by Randall Dunn (Sunn 0))), Marissa Nadler, Wolves In The Throne Room), ASH BORER have created their most dynamic and sprawling album to date. Continuing to harness the wall-of-sound harshness and expansiveness of their signature time-stretching tracks, having Randall Dunn at the engineering helm has helped the band deliver their biggest sounding album yet, creating a much more enveloping all-encompassing atmosphere while still maintaining the raw, abrasive, and primal aura that has defined the band’s sound.
