Ulthima - Symphony Of The Night

Digipack / Ulthima was originally formed in Monterrey Mexico in 2010. The songwriter and lead guitarist Ricardo Escobar and the bassist Antonio Valdés later moved to Finland to chase their dream of making metal music in the country where many of their musical influences came from. In Finland the band established a stable lineup in 2018 with the second guitarist Jon Welti, keyboardist Niko Sutinen, drummer Ville Nummisalo and vocalist Tuomas Antila. Music of Ulthima is a combination of epic melodies and aggressive riffs and vocal parts. Symphony of the Night is the first studio album of Ulthima and it’s a collection of songs from the 10 year history of the band. Thematically the album is rather versatile with subjects of the songs ranging from contemplating death to resisting tyranny. Even though the subjects vary, Ultima's songs are mostly arranged in a story like format and the lyrics often contain elements from fiction and fantasy.
