Détails
REDGRIN from Kaiserslautern / Germany was formed in late 2006. All of the bandmembers had years of experience with other bands reaching back to early 1990s. The bands style could be defined as a mixture of old school Death Metal and old school Hardcore but when you listen closely there is a lot more to discover. The Band is playing a slow and intense style instead of high speed blast orgies and prefers to have "room" within the music so all Intruments can fully unfold it`s qualities. Redgrin aims to achieve an organic and "breathing" sound including a lot of groove, hooks and some musical surprises ! The lyrics are far away from the cliches that are infamous with the music styles that are mostly associated with these sounds and even when it sounds like, there is always a turning point that is leading into an unexpected and clarifying end. The bandmembers take their time to achieve the best possible result so all involved feel comfortable. There is no need to rush and ruin quality with quantity ! Finally complete in 2008 staff-wise, REDGRIN startet playing live shows in 2009 including a very successful mini-tour and recorded a self produced 5-track demo CD in early 2010. In 2012 REDGRIN began recording the bands first full lengh titled "Strength in Death" but unfortunately had to proceed as a four-piece during the time of recording . With the end of recordings the band is complete again and is looking forward to promote the album live. The band describes their style as "Alt-Herren-Death-Rock" - which could be roughly translated as "Old-Geezers-Death-Rock" - a pun on their own age, but also a good hint on the experience the members bring into the band and their will to create timeless, brutal and well-played music !
